Firebird Black-Tie Gala

As Co-Chair for the Moscow Committee of Chicago Sister Cities International, I am delighted to announce that we will be hosting the 4th Annual Firebird Black-Tie Gala on November 3rd, 2016 at the beautiful Union League Club in downtown Chicago.   For those who are not familiar with the Firebird story, let me share it with you!   The Firebird is a mythical creature originating from Slavic Folklore. Particularly hard to catch, doing so is a marvel, highly coveted. Glowing brightly, the Firebird emits red, orange and yellow light –  symbolic of a turbulent, pure flame that fights darkness and brings prosperity. Through centuries, stories tell us of this mythical bird's magical feather. Finding and capturing it brings continuous good luck in every aspect of life, but only the one who is brave, with a pure heart can have even a glimpse of the Firebird.    With that, I welcome you to celebrate the rich traditions of Slavic culture through an unforgettable evening of beautiful performances, delightful conversation, and delicious food.   LET THE GLOWING, FIERY CELEBRATION BEGIN!   For more information and tickets visit www.firebirdgala.org
