Joining the U.S.-Russia Business Council

It’s another first for Russian Pointe® by Aleksandra® ― we have joined the U.S.-Russia Business Council, the largest and most prominent U.S.-Russian business organization in the country. The Washington, D.C.-based organization is comprised of 230 U.S. companies that conduct business in Russia and a smaller number of Russian firms with U.S. interests. Some of the country’s most recognizable brands, including Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Boeing, and Baker & McKenzie, are all members of this prestigious organization.

As president of a company that has been manufacturing pointe shoes in Russia since 1998, I know that there are many benefits from producing products in Russia specifically for the U.S. market, and I’m looking forward to networking with other companies that have similar goals.

This year, USRBC’s annual meeting (https://www.usrbc.org/activities/am/) will be held in Chicago from Oct. 3-5. The event will start on Monday night with a gala dinner at the Art Institute of Chicago, and will be followed by two days of meetings at the Swissotel. Speakers will include Deputy Secretary of State Williams Burns; Ian Read, the president and CEO of Pfizer; and Klaus Kleinfeld, the chairman and CEO of Alcoa.

I look forward to attending the event and to welcoming so many business leaders to Chicago!
