Sports Unite Us

Cheering over 500 runners from Russian-speaking countries who traveled here for the Chicago Marathon this weekend. Over 45,000 runners completed 26.2 miles on a beautiful sunny day.

My personal highlights:
- experiencing amazing energy of thousands of runners over several hours
- seeing big smiles of Russian runners when they saw our cheering signs
- taking photos with runners who stopped for Russian snacks
- sharing @lifewaykefir with policemen
- dancing with runners from Thailand who stopped and joined our dance routine
- waking up at 4am to beat street closures to set up our cheering station
- working with a fantastic team of volunteers!
